We Need the Green New Deal

The people and places we love are under attack by the climate crisis and New Hampshire is no exception. Homes, businesses, and critical infrastructure along the seacoast are at threat due to increased storm surges and sea-level rise. Our farmers are already beginning to struggle with increased flooding. The green new deal is the only legislative approach I have seen that would actually meet the scale of the crisis we are facing.

The climate crisis is an existential threat to our way of life. For decades the fossil fuel elite has been profiting off the destruction of our planet. Now we are seeing wildfires, droughts, storm surges, and sea-level rise wreak havoc on our communities. A Green New Deal is a suite of bills that will stop the climate crisis and create millions of jobs. A comprehensive Green New Deal must center the communities impacted most by the climate crisis, including a federal job guarantee that will put Americans back to work building the renewable infrastructure, and end the use of fossil fuels.
